The market of Sassari

Located between Viale Umberto, Piazza Mercato and Via Mercato, the new civic market of Sassari plans to promote quality local food and wine, enhancing the city's identity. The new structure, inaugurated in 2012, welcomes visitors entering the city center through the Rosello Bridge and is an obligatory stop for those wishing to discover local products. An informal and lively atmosphere welcomes visitors to the area dedicated to the retail sale of local products, such as vegetables, fruit, fish, poultry and meat; the upper floor will soon be used for other commercial activities, while a large basement car park is already available. The local market as well as offering typical local products, intends to give the visitor a lively aggregative experience in the city center.
